A series of booklets based on posts from this blog 2009-2013…
Part 1 gathers together stories about some of Leeds’ heroes, its industrial and scientific pioneers.
Part 2 expands on the concept of “narrative capital,” the stock of stories that a city has to draw on.
Part 3, to be published shortly, takes a tentative look to the future, wondering if the heritage of the city and its wider region could be a foundation for a new, forward-looking “idea of the north.”
